Service & Support Opportunities Adult and Youth Bible Studies meet weekly throughout the school year. Please call the church office for more information and class times. Adult Choir is led by Joyce Keasey. Members practice on Thursday evenings at 6:30. Cantatas for special holy days are also prepared. Interested persons should meet with Joyce for more information. The Altar Guild of Faith is a wonderful group of dedicated ladies who work behind the scenes to make sure that everything is in place for the worship services and the celebration of Holy Communion. They launder and care for the altar linens, polish the brass, set out the wine and the bread, prepare the candles and set up for Sunday and weekday services, making sure that there is a good supply of bread, wine, candles, and linens. Members of the Guild are: Elaine Bevington, Barbara Bohm, Rose Bura, Cindy Chestnut, Jan Downing, Peggy Dwire, Earline Fry, Carol Helzer [Chair], Nadene Henderson, Sandy Johnson, Judy Kreps, Patsy Pickens, Carol Schmidt, Helen Selsor, Marlene Smith, Laura Stanley, Rowena Voss, and Jacque Tilgner. Bell Choir is led by Ted Boettcher and meets on Monday evenings at 6:00 p.m. Interested persons should meet with Ted for more information. Circle of Peace meets at 9:15 a.m., on the first Sunday of each month to plan service projects for the support of various ministries of Faith. Elders are men, elected for three-year terms to assist the Pastor in ministry. Elders who are serving in 2006-2007 are Bill Harland [Chair], Grady Adams, Lyle Blue, Fred Bohm, Larry Hare, Steve Klepacki, Larry McElroy, and Irv Weber. Faith’s Faithful invites all Seniors to join them on the first Monday of each month for a time of devotions, games, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and a delicious lunch. Lloyd and Carol Schmidt are the coordinators for this ministry. Instrumental Music: Ted Boettcher works with individuals and small groups for accompaniment for the service hymns and special music. Interested persons should meet with Ted for more information. Lutheran Women’s Missionary League meets on the third Monday of each month for Bible study, service projects and snacks. All ladies of the congregation are invited. Nursery Workers are a valuable group of ladies who serve during the worship services and Sunday school. If you would like to help in the nursery, please contact the church office. Prayer Chain is coordinated by Prayer Captain, June Koker. Please contact June or the church office if you have a prayer need. School Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month for planning and setting goals. School Board President, Angie Fischer welcomes those interested in serving on the FLS board. Social Ministries [Ministry to those in need] Sound Operation is by Julia Voss and Josh Nearhood. Trustees sponsor a congregational work day on the second Saturday of each month. Trustees Chair, Bruce Weber invites all members to come to the church and help work on various projects for the upkeep of the church and educational buildings. Vacation Bible School is offered each Summer. VBS team for 2008 is Kim Davis and Sandy Leithoff. Ushers are an essential part of our team, taking care to unlock doors, being sure thermostats are set at comfortable temps, as well as making sure that each attendee feels welcome and has a bulletin.
